Barb KellerBarbara Keller, principal Broker and co-owner of ERA Showcase Properties and Investments, is an astute business woman with more than 30 years' experience in the real estate industry. She and her partner Jean Burgdorff purchased the company in February 1999, coming from NJ where they had worked together in developing and managing a large real estate firm with 32 offices and over 900 sales agents.

Dr. Keller for 15 years prior to joining the Senior Management Team of Burgdorff Realtors full time, was a Professor of Psychology, Department Chair and Dean of a College at Fairleigh Dickinson University. While at the University she worked as a consultant with Burgdorff during its growth years and was instrumental in establishing its Relocation Department and Property Management Division. She also developed and implemented a comprehensive training program for sales, management and staff as well as a budgeting and business planning process for the company, branch offices and managers, department heads and individual salespeople. Dr. Keller was also instrumental in introducing new technology and appropriate systems throughout Burgdorff Realtors, keeping it always on the cutting edge. Creative, she also worked closely with the development of the marketing department.

A dynamic thinker, problem solver, trainer and lecturer, Dr. Keller has found innumerable opportunities in the Real Estate Industry as well as others to apply and share her knowledge and understanding of people and behavior to real life situations and problems. She has been active in professional associations, a consultant, featured speaker and trainer for numerous companies and governmental groups. She has been an invited real estate delegate in three Different People to People Citizen Ambassador programs – China, South Africa, and Japan.

Dr. Keller worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as a research psychologist prior to joining the faculty at Fairleigh Dickinson University and even made a presentation before the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Dr. Keller was invited to conduct training programs in Germany on several different occasions for military personnel while still working at Fairleigh Dickinson.

Dr. Keller received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in College Park, a master's degree from Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia and a Ph.D. from New York University. She is listed in Who’s Who of American Women, International Who’s Who in Education, Who’s Who in Business and Finance and was named an Outstanding Educator of America.

In her spare time Dr. Keller enjoys water-skiing, sailing, playing tennis and photography. She is a pilot and flies her own plane; she loves new challenges and opportunities to learn. Serving as a Trustee of Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vermont; a member of the Colonial Symphony Board of Directors; Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of Voice Works; and an active member of her church rounds out her activities.



Jean Burgdorff Jean T. Burgdorff, Executive Vice President of ERA Showcase Properties & Investments, is an admired and respected expert in the real estate industry. In October 1995, she was appointed a member of the New Jersey Real Estate Commission by Governor Christine Todd Whitman. Throughout her career, Mrs. Burgdorff has been honored frequently by local and national organizations and is widely recognized for her professional achievements and philanthropic activities.

Mrs. Burgdorff co-founded Burgdorff Realtors, a large Real Estate Company in New Jersey with her husband. She served as president from 1968 to 1991. Under her leadership the firm rose to become a major force in the New Jersey real estate industry, expanding from one to thirty-two offices across New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. In 1991, Mrs. Burgdorff became chairman of the company and her son, Peter, became president. In October of 1996, Burgdorff Realtors was acquired by National Realty Trust as a franchised brokerage firm of ERA Franchise Systems, Inc., of which Peter Burgdorff became president.

In 1991, New Jersey Monthly named her “Businesswoman of the Year.” In 1992, she was elected to membership in Masterminds, the first woman so honored by the elite think-tank of top real estate CEO’s in the nation. She was a member of Governor Christine Todd Whitman’s Transition Team, and a Real Estate Delegate of the Citizen’s Ambassador Program to China in 1994, to South Africa in 1995, and to Japan in 1997.

Her community involvement includes four years' service as a mentor to Cocoa High School Students through Junior Achievement, Brevard Literacy project, past chairmanship of the Summit Interfaith Clergy Council, and support of the Burgdorff Cultural Center, which she donated to the town of Maplewood. In 1997, the Arts Council of Maplewood awarded her the “Patron of the Arts Award.”

Mrs. Burgdorff graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in education and studied at the New England Conservatory of Music. She was a member of the piano faculty at Rutgers University.

A woman of far-ranging interests, Jean Burgdorff balances professional pursuits with a vigorous and exciting life of tennis, travel, and active church participation. She is the mother of two sons, Peter and Charles and grateful grandmother of seven.



Gail Hawkins Gail Hawkins, Broker-Vice President of ERA Showcase Properties & Investments, is a judicious business woman with more than 20 years' experience in the real estate industry.

Ms. Hawkins has a highly seasoned and compelling background, which make her experience a true asset to our company. Her education and designations are remarkable. Ms. Hawkins earned a Business Administration degree from Rollins College and has also attended Commercial Credit School and School of Bank Marketing.

Ms. Hawkins has a forceful background of real estate experience that she brings to our company. She has been designated as a Senior Real Estate Specialist, a graduate of ERA Top Gun with Honors, a member of ERA Leader’s Circle for multi-million dollar sales production and has had her realtor designation since 1985 and Broker designation since 1987.

Ms. Hawkins’ past experience and responsibilities include: marketing projects in both the pre-construction and finished phases, executing sales contacts, assisting buyers with interior decorating, orchestrating closings, and conducting customer follow up and satisfaction surveys. She has successfully seen to conclusion condominium projects and residential subdivisions with hundreds of units and continues to be a driving force in the company’s ability to reach triumphant goals.

In her spare time, Ms. Hawkins enjoys gardening and training her exceptional family of dogs, and is an active member of her church. Ms. Hawkins enjoys the opportunities that new challenges bring to her on a daily basis and unquestionably has that confident attitude that is a key characteristic to any successful business in today’s market.



Rich Dugan Rich Dugan, Vice President of Information Systems & Technology, heads up the technology division at ERA Showcase. He has partnered with Chad Buck (IT Administrator) to provide full time support to the company and its affiliates. With market conditions changing and properties being listed at a remarkable pace, instant accessibility to data has never been more important. Showcase is a nationwide leader in practical application of relevant technology.

At the forefront, Rich has recently implemented infrastructure that allows documents to travel electronically and securely between offices in seconds. All offices have secure wireless networks tied to state of the art color laser printers. Integrated with this process are powerful document management applications that allow our staff and clients to stay informed as information becomes available.

Rich originally implemented our complete “in-house” Marketing and Advertising department. Print advertisements, Internet marketing, flyers, postcards, brochures and anything else required are available in-house and on-line. Marketing materials are designed by our professional staff utilizing the finest equipment available and sent electronically to the offices to be produced as needed on the spot.

Rich has designed and implemented the company's newest and potentially most cutting edge technology, a VOIP telephone system. This new system will afford every agent their own 7 digit phone number. Additionally, we can provide different phone numbers for all of our marketing resources. Our new management software allows us to determine the effectiveness of all of our advertising so that we may use our resources wisely. ERA Showcase is an industry leader in this field.

Rich came to ERA Showcase with excellent computer and managerial experience. He had his own consulting firm prior to joining ERA and was a General Manager for Brinker International, supervising a staff of over 100. His responsibilities at ERA Showcase include network system administration, web site development and maintenance, all IT implementation, computer training, telecommunication, lead management and statistical analysis

Married with three girls, Rich grew up in a military family living on military bases around the world, including Japan, Italy and England. This diverse experience has led to his unique ability to effectively communicate and interact across broad market boundaries.
